St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital : ウィキペディア英語版 | St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital
St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital is an acute care hospital in Williamsport in the U.S. state of Indiana, operated by Indianapolis-based St. Vincent Health. It has the distinction of being the smallest hospital in the state. ==History== In 1933, a large residence on Monroe Street owned by the Van Reed family was purchased by Dr. Thomas E. Ward, who converted it into the county's first hospital. The American Hospital Association recognized it in 1936, and in 1944 the non-profit Community Hospital Association was formed to oversee hospital management. Many additions were made over subsequent decades, including an 18-bed wing in 1956, a new patient wing, ancillary wing, coronary care unit, revamped lobby and chapel in 1970, and an emergency room and outpatient service expansion in 1993. The non-profit St. Vincent Health network assumed sponsorship of the hospital in 1996, and in January 1997 renamed it to St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. A 16-patient wing was completed in February 1999.
